Blogging

I now realize that having a blog about a class allows a student to explore the extent of his or her own knowledge in a comfortable setting.
Whenever we, as students, write about a subject, we prewrite in our heads and begins thinking before pen touches paper of fingertips to keyboard. When a student writes about an experience in class, thinking about the subject is done before and in the act of displaying our thoughts. These thoughts and understandings of what we know are exposed on the page and allows a student to identify any holes of understanding. This is a common advantage about writing in any subject but blogging provides something unique in the atmjosphere in which the conversation is given.
Due to the causeul nature of a blog, the blogger is free to apply personal feelings and resposes to the information. In other settings writing is simply used to illistrate a student's grasp of the material, but in posting on my blog, about my thoughts allows to personal reflection.
Blogging is fun and i am glad that i was exposed to this new form of communication. i hope i will keep it up, but this may be my very last blog...only time will tell.

  1. Don't stop now! It's a great way to let off steam and also to tell the world what you think about it. It's also very therapeutic.

  3. Okay, I totally agree with all that you said and just had something extra to add. I think it bloggins is a truly comprehensive method of personalizing a student's education. Every student has their own way of looking at things but in a large class, it's hard to see that. In addition, different things interest different people and I think students just want to study what they want to study. With an assignment like this, you can practically write about anything related to class adn it's completely legit. Granted, not everybody in the class will read each other's blog, but still, when someone sits down to write a blog, they feel comfortable behind their computer and yet they want to make what they right sound coherent and smart on the off chance that somebody reads it.

I only hope that some of my other teachers will pick up on this assignment because I think it's great.
